Cotswold Retreat

Our client's weekend home, a retreat from their weekday city lives, was being extended & nearing completion. Located in an idyllic Cotswold village, with access road & surrounding properties on steeply rising ground, this left the oddly shaped garden in a deep hollow.

The design sought to link the sections of garden, provide access at varying levels & usable space. The main entrance and hallway was reached via twining steps through terraced planting. This entrance garden then lead to an intermediate level with arbor & elevated pergola walk surrounding the lower level lawn & dining area. Also incorporated into this space were raised beds for small scale vegetable production.
